Brant Balls, 42, suffered severe injuries after being shot by his mother Saturday on a moose hunting trip in the Pleasant Valley area, approximately
75 miles north of Idaho Falls.
Balls’ mother, 64-year-old Carol Balls, was carrying a 25-06 caliber hunting rifle that discharged. The bullet fractured Brant’s femur and caused damage to several arteries and nerves in his leg.
