A 22-year-old Spencer man suffered an injury in a hunting incident Sunday.

In a news release, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources stated the man was waterfowl hunting on Barringer Slough. He reportedly suffered minor hand injuries from his firearm.

The man was not identified.

He was later treated at and released from a local medical facility.

The Iowa DNR stared the accident was reported as a single-person incident.

The incident is still under investigation.
