On March 9, 41-year-old Brett Cranston plead guilty to three charges related to the illegal taking of deer during the first shotgun deer season in Greene County.
He was charged with trespassing while hunting, using a motor vehicle to hunt deer and shooting within 200 yards of a residence.
Cranston’s hunting privileges have been suspended for one year, he had to forfeit his shotgun and the buck deer, he has been fined in excess of $660 and has been assessed $8,000 in liquidated damages.
Forty-two-year-old Jeramiah Pedersen has plead guilty to not having a hunting license and trespassing while deer hunting in his assistance with the pursuit. Pedersen was fined $416.
