DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) – The DNR says 28-year-old Travis Myers was struck by a deer slug in his right shoulder Sunday morning while hunting about a mile northeast of Backbone State Park in Delaware County.
The slug was believed to have been fired by another hunter in an 11-member party.
