Wilson Patzer will serve two years of unsupervised probation and pay $450 in fines for lying to forest officials and leading hunting trips into Bridger-Teton and Shoshone national forests without the proper permits. The maximum sentence for each charge is six months in jail and a $5,000 fine. He was found not guilty of a second charge of lying to forest officers.
Patzer led several trips into Shoshone and Bridger-Teton national forests in
2010 and 2012 without the correct permit, according to court documents.
