WI: Richland County man lost hunting privileges for 42 years

After an investigation that started six years ago, a 61-year-old Viola man was placed on three years probation, including 120 days in jail and had his hunting privileges revoked for 42 years on 14 charges of illegal hunting. Dominick Stanek pleaded no contest in Richland County Circuit Court to seven counts of failure to obtain deer hunting required approval, six counts of hunting deer during a closed season, and illegal shining of deer. Stanek was also ordered to surrender all firearms and ammunition and pay a $12,000 fine.
