SAN ANTONIO — Police arrested two men allegedly poaching deer in the Medical Center Friday morning.
Game Warden Johnny Jones said the men shot and killed an 11-point buck with a bow and arrow. San Antonio Police officers used a helicopter to locate the two men, who were allegedly illegally hunting in a wooded area near Floyd Curl and Hamilton Wolfe.
The men are facing three charges each, including hunting without landowner consent, hunting at night and hunting with a light. All are Class A misdemeanors and if convicted, the men could have to spend up to two years in jail and pay up to a $4,000 fine. They could also have to give up their hunting licenses and equipment, like their bow and arrows.
