A 36-year-old man has been reported missing after he failed to return from a frog hunting trip in the jungle behind Rumah Panjang Puyu, Sebauh, last Saturday (June 14).

The State Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA) said they were alerted to the incident via an emergency call received at 3.50 pm yesterday.

“The victim, Rudy Ranggau, had left his house at around 5 am on Saturday before going missing.

“He is about five feet tall, of slim build, and has tattoos on his arms and legs,” the statement said today (June 16).

The department added that a search operation is being carried out in the surrounding area of the longhouse, covering a six-kilometre radius from the victim’s residence and along the river.

As of press time, the victim has yet to be found.
