Convicted felon Patrick R. McCurdy, 27, was charged with illegally possessing a firearm, hunting without a license and hunting under the influence of a controlled substance Thursday in Derry Township.
State Game Commission officers responded to a report of a hunter acting erratically. They found McCurdy outside a pickup truck wearing no fluorescent clothing, and an AR-15 nearby.
“McCurdy admitted he had smoked marijuana just prior to going hunting and that he used the firearm to shoot four rounds at game,” Commission Officer Brian Singer wrote in the complaint.
