Daniel J. Long, 54, was shot in the hip Wednesday while hunting around Reno.
Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks said the person who shot Long was likely another hunter.
Long was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus and was most recently listed in critical but stable condition.
