Man accused of shooting hunting arrow into house in court

The man accused of shooting an arrow into a family’s home is due in court tonight.
23-year-old Philip Niccloy was arrested for shooting a hunting arrow into a house in the village of Brockport.
The arrow just missed Erica Russell’s daughter.
Police charged Niccloy of LeRoy for reckless endangerment and criminal mischief. They didn’t say how he was caught, but they say he was not targeting the family.
Niccloy was ticketed and released. He will be arraigned in Sweden Town Court tonight at 6 o’clock.
Erica Russell’s two young daughters were watching T.V. in the living room Monday night, when an arrow pierced a window and hit the opposite wall.
“All of a sudden I heard a pop; I looked out the window and could see someone standing out there. And when we made eye contact, he ran,” said Russell.
Russell quickly gathered her kids, headed upstairs, and called police. Over the next few days, Brockport Police looked for evidence like tracks in the snow, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s office took the arrow for forensics testing.
When we ask if anyone had a reason to hurt anyone in the home, Russell replied, “No. We have no enemies. That’s the one thing police are pretty certain about, that we weren’t targeted, it was random.”
Brockport Police Department said that they see a lot of cases, but this particular one was one of the more disturbing.
