Justin Levi Swisse is facing 13 charges including unlawful possession of a game animal, which is a felony; tampering with a witness or informant, which is a felony; failure to tag an animal; hunting, fishing or trapping while license is suspended or forfeited; license, permit or tag transfer in violation of code; unlawful use of vehicle to hunt; failure to obtain landowner’s permission to hunt on property; and obstructing a peace officer.
Some of the charges have multiple counts.
Derrick Dale Nelson is charged with six counts including unlawful possession of game animals; failure to tag game animals; failure to obtain a landowner’s permission to hunt; obstructing a peace officer by giving false information to a game warden; failure to obtain a landowner’s permission to hunt; and unlawful use of a vehicle to hunt.
Nelson is charged with being in possession of all or part of four illegally killed game animals. If convicted of that charge, Nelson could be sentenced up to five years and fined up to $50,000 or both.
Swisse lost his privileges for 20 years in 2008.
