A Belgrade man has lost his hunting privileges for six years after pleading guilty to illegally shooting three deer in November of 2012.
Kenneth Welch was sentenced July 3 in Gallatin County Justice Court. In addition to the hunting ban, Welch also had to turn in his .22-caliber rifle and pay $3,270 in fines and restitution.
Welch had earlier pleaded guilty to three counts of unlawful possession of game animals, four counts of shooting from a vehicle and one count of failure to obtain landowner permission.
