LAUDERDALE CO., MS – One man was shot Thursday in a hunting accident in Lauderdale County.
The man was trying to cross a creek when he accidentally shot himself in the neck with a shotgun. He was flown to University of Mississippi Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Cobler says Metro came back a short time later to take one of the other hunters to the hospital, who was having a heart attack while helping his friend. He is expected to be okay.
