JACKSON, Miss. —A hunter has been released from the hospital after being shot in the face Friday morning by his hunting partner in Carroll County.
Curtis Entrekin, 63, and Charles Childs, 69, were hunting turkeys together but had separated at some point during the morning. Childs was returning to the area where the they had parted when he was shot in the face – Entrekin mistook him for a turkey. Childs had 26 pellets removed from his face and neck area.
