1 ready to change plea to hunting charges
GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) – 1 of 7 Mississippi hunters intends to plea guilty to federal hunting violations charges.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports that federal court records show Danny Joseph Hip of Oxford is scheduled to appear in federal court in Greenville on Nov. 15 for a change of plea hearing.
Hipp and the six others pleaded innocent to the charges on Oct. 12.
Prosecutors say the men are accused of killing as many as twice their daily legal limit of ducks during January near Crowder in Tallahatchie County.
