On Sunday morning, a 22-year-old Lebanon woman and her 53-year-old father went to a Red Hawk Road property to bow hunt for deer. Just before 7:30 a.m., a deer walked between the two hunters, who were sitting about 30 yards away from each other.
She shot her bow and she wasn’t sure if she flinched or if the arrow missed the deer and ricocheted off of something, but it hit her dad in the calf of the leg.
The wounded man was taken to Mercy Hospital Springfield by helicopter.
