CO Tricia Plautz showed up at a fur registration station and found several trappers not following the rules including attempting to register last year’s fisher, no trapping license, fisher trapped out of season and failure to validate a site tag.
Trail travel was observed and three juveniles were sent home to their parents.
CO Dan Starr reports shining complaints continue to come in with shots being heard at night.
In the New Ulm area, CO Dustin Miller encountered two hunters who admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol throughout the day while hunting.
One hunter was arrested for hunting while impaired.
