A Cooper Township man pled guilty last week in Kalamazoo County District Court to poaching-related charges.
Craig Laws, 29, pled guilty to possessing a deer while ineligible to secure a license; possessing a deer without a license attached; and obtaining a license when ineligible.
Laws’ original license revocation stems from a 2013 Kalamazoo County case in which he was found in possession of a deer and did not have a valid Michigan license.
Laws was ordered to pay $250 in court fees and $2,000 in fines. He will be ineligible to purchase a hunting license in Michigan for five years.
