Coldwater, Mich. COLDWATER — Bragging about the 10-point buck he shot with his bow cost Clinton Vreeland $825 and all his hunting rights for two years.

Vreeland posted the picture of the trophy buck on Facebook, writing, “I shot last night.” One of those who admired it was Department of Natural Resources officer Joshua Jackson.

A computer check of the posted picture meta-data showed it had been taken before midnight of the day he bought the license.
