Dead Duck Hunter Identified as New Hampshire Man
David Sporcic, 65, of Conway, New Hampshire, was found unresponsive Saturday in the Piscataquis River, and efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
A man who died Saturday while duck hunting on Gerrish Island in Kittery has been identified as David Sporcic of Conway, New Hampshire.
Searchers from the Maine Marine Patrol found Sporcic, 65, in the Piscataqua River late Saturday. Coast Guard officials say he was unresponsive when he was pulled from the water, and efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. Sporcic was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Sporcic was a dentist and an avid outdoorsman, according to WCSH-TV. He had been hunting alone, Coast Guard officials say.
