Christopher Robert Meyer, 35, was convicted of multiple game violations and prohibited from hunting in Maryland for a year. He’s also been prohibited from hunting in 44 other states.
In December Meyer accepted a plea deal and was found guilty of five of 44 poaching-related charges.
He was fined $1,000, with $500 suspended, placed on probation for one year had his Maryland hunting privileges revoked for a year. During probation, Meyer cannot possess firearms.
Meyer was also ordered to forfeit six trophy antlered white-tailed deer, multiple wild turkeys, one compound bow, one cross bow and a Remington shotgun, all part of the illegal hunting activities, natural resources officials said.
