Maryland Natural Resources Police have charged five people with illegal waterfowl hunting on Gibson Island.
Bryan Webb, David Butler, John Tracey, and Charles Vieth were issued citations for hunting waterfowl over a baited area. Tracey also was issued a citation for hunting with an unplugged shotgun.
A juvenile was issued a warning for hunting over a baited area, police said.
Hunting over bait carries a fine of $500. Hunting with an unplugged shotgun carries a fine of $250.
In December, Andrew Wendell was charged by Natural Resources Police with 45 counts of illegal deer hunting stemming from a series of kills on Gibson Island in the fall.
