Two Winnsboro men were cited Dec. 22 in Richland Parish with several deer-hunting violations, including hunting at night.
23-year-old Danny Floyd and 19-year-old Christopher Floyd were cited for hunting deer during illegal hours and hunting from a public road. The elder Floyd also was cited for shooting from a public road, according to the LDWF.
The Floyd brothers allegedly admitted to the agent that he shot and missed a 4-point, and Danny Floyd allegedly admitted to shooting the gun, the LDWF news release said.
Hunting deer during illegal hours brings a fine between $900 and $950 and up to 120 days of jail time. Hunting from a public road and shooting from a public road each brings a fine between $100 and $350 and up to 60 days in jail for each offense.
