State authorities cited four area men Saturday for hunting waterfowl over a baited area.

Matthew LaTulip, 38, was arrested by Indiana Conservation officers while hunting near his home in Newton County, according to a written release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division.

LaTulip, of Lake Village, and six others, including children, were hunting ducks from a blind in a field scattered with corn, according to the release.

Conservation officers also issued citations to Sean Wilson, 38, of DeMotte; Derek Horner, 23, of Cedar Lake and Mickey LaTulip, 61, of Lowell.
