MEDIMONT, Idaho — A duck hunter was listed in critical condition late Wednesday after falling into Medicine Lake and waiting 30-45 minutes to be rescued near Medimont.
Authorities said both 51-year-old Michael Jensen of Pinehurst and 52 year-old Dwayne Knapton from Osburn, Idaho were hypothermic when they were taken from the water.
The men were reportedly duck hunting on Medicine Lake and at some point after retrieving a downed duck, one of them shifted their weight. That caused the boat to list to one side, capsizing it.
Knapton was listed in critical condition while Jenson was treated at the scene and released. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the incident.
