Alex and Dan Roe each face a felony charge of willful destruction of wildlife for allegedly failing to properly dress a kill in Pitkin County last fall.

The district attorney’s office alleges on Sept. 13 the men unlawfully hunted wildlife, and detached or removed body parts with the intent to abandon the carcass.

The Roes also face misdemeanor counts of failing to properly dress or care for wildlife, including, per state statute, failing to provide for human consumption the edible portions of any game wildlife; illegal possession of wildlife; and hunting without permission.
