Joshua Burnaman, 44, was thrown from his mule while hunting near the town of Meredith Sunday.
At approximately 2:15 p.m. the Mountain Rescue Aspen volunteers reached Mr.
Burnaman and were able to render first aid.
Burnaman was transported to the Pitkin County Airport about 4:30 p.m., transferred to an ambulance and taken to Aspen Valley Hospital.
