According to the Alabama DNR, Donna Martin, 35, was killed during an illegal deer hunt last Friday near Pollard Landing in Escambia County.
The preliminary investigation states that 31-year old Shannon Heath Bell was pulling a rifle out of a pick-up truck stock first. The rifle discharged and struck Martin in the stomach.
Shannon Bell has been charged with hunting from a public road, hunting at night, hunting from a motor vehicle and hunting without a permit.
