Lee County, Al. – On Monday December 30, 2013 around 5:20 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a call from a 27 year-old man in the 4200 block of Al Highway 51 in the Beauregard community. He reported that he had been injured as he was getting out of a tree stand after bow hunting.
The caller said that he fell when his tree stand collapsed and he landed on an arrow. Emergency Transport Service medical personnel responded to the scene and found the victim with an arrow in his chest just about his heart.
The victim was transported to Columbus Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia.
