JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) – A Colorado man has been fined $10,000 and banned from hunting for a year for transporting an unlawfully taken Dall sheep.

The U.S. attorney’s office says Thomas McGann of Longmont pleaded guilty Friday. His sentence requires he forfeit the sheep.

Prosecutors say McGann admitted to shooting an undersized sheep in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in 2008.
