ANCHORAGE — A 50-year-old Anchorage man was shot by his own gun as he hunted in southeast Alaska.
The man was duck hunting Wednesday afternoon near Thorne Bay on Prince of Wales Island.
He slipped on rocks and dropped his semi-automatic shotgun, which hit the ground and fired. Shot struck the hunter in the face.
