A Ketchikan hunter called troopers May 27 to report he accidentally shot a black bear sow with cubs.
Robert P. Young had been hunting at Harriet Hunt Lake when he killed the bear in an area that was closed to hunting. Young was cited for two hunting violations and summoned to appear at Ketchikan District Court.
