Police said one hunter accidentally shot another in the leg and groin area Saturday afternoon in a gas station parking lot along Route 908.
Fawn police Chief Tim Mayberry said the two men were standing on either side of a gray Dodge Ram extended-cab pickup truck about 1:30 p.m. when the man on the passenger side accidentally fired a hunting rifle.
The shot struck a man believed to be in his 20s, who was standing near the open rear driver’s side door.
Mayberry said he could not immediately identify either man.
The victim was flown to UPMC Presbyterian in Oakland, where he was undergoing surgery, Mayberry said. The victim’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
