Department of Wildlife and Parks officers requested charges following a long investigation.
A Former Saline County Sheriff Deputy is facing criminal charges in connection with alleged illegal hunting.
39-year-old Patrick Queen was arrested Tuesday morning. He could face charges that include two counts of possession of a deer without a deer tag and no fishing or hunting license in his possession.
Queen was a deputy with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office when the alleged crimes happened.
Sheriff Glen Kochanowski says that Queen is no longer employed by the department. The sheriff says that the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is handling the investigation.
Department of Wildlife and Parks officers requested charges against Queen, who is a well-known avid bow hunter, following a long investigation. More details about the investigation may be forthcoming.
