Florida game officers alerted by Facebook users complaining about online photos of a freshly killed 8-point buck have cited two cousins for hunting deer at night out of season.

James Harris, 18, of Macclenny and William Harris, 22, of Statenville, Ga., were cited for killing a deer in the area of the Sandhill Grade in the Osceola Wildlife Management Area before hunting season opened. James Harris posted a photo of the buck online accompanied by a photo of him holding an alligator, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The Harrises were cited for taking deer during a closed season in a management area at night with a gun and light and near a public roadway.

James Harris was also cited with possession of an alligator without a permit.
