Two Sussex County men were arrested on numerous hunting violations after a public tip about their illegal deer hunting, state environmental officials said Wednesday.

Thorvald P. Impastato, 19, of Frankford, and Gabriel S. Bowden, 18, of Dagsboro, were arrested Sunday near Frankford, said Sgt. Gregory Rhodes of the Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement.

Impastato was charged with felony possession of a destructive weapon for the handgun and silencer, shooting a firearm within a safety zone near a residence, trespassing to hunt, unlicensed hunting, hunting deer during a closed season and illegally hunting deer illegally on a Sunday, Rhodes said.

Bowden was charged with shooting a firearm within a safety zone near a residence, possession of an unplugged shotgun, trespassing to hunt, unlicensed hunting, and hunting deer illegally on a Sunday. A shotgun was seized, Rhodes said.
