DOVER, Del. (AP) – Natural Resources Police have charged a Newark man with illegally trapping a hawk after officers found he was keeping a Coopers hawk on his property.
Forty-three-year-old Steven Cheng was arrested last week. The hawk was confiscated and taken to a bird rescue center.
In an unrelated incident, Natural Resources Police have charged a Marydel man with hunting turkey during a closed season after he alleged took four wild turkeys.
Fifty-seven-year-old Isidro Espinal was arrested Sunday and also charged with hunting turkey with a prohibited weapon and other offenses.
