Mark Zanawich, 62, who was “hunting” for wild turkeys in Bloomfield, was arrested Wednesday by State Environmental Conservation officers for not playing by the rules.
Zanawich is accused of baiting turkeys with cracked corn and hiding behind a hunting blind. EnCon officers say he didn’t have a permit to hunt wild turkeys.
Zanawich was arrested Wednesday with negligent hunting in the fourth degree and illegally turkey hunting with the use of artificial bait.
