A hunter who went missing for more than 24 hours has been found safe.
55-year-old Matt Shasky was rescued in a remote area west of Red Bluff Sunday afternoon.
He became separated from his hunting party on Saturday afternoon. A search team was called in after the other hunters couldn’t find him on the large property.
The Tehama County Search and Rescue Team searched the area through the night. A CHP helicopter was brought in Sunday to help find him.AD 00:15 / 00:15
Shasky was found around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
He had spent the night in the woods west of the main area that was searched, sheriff’s officials say.
