Youth Trapping Recruitment Program closed for 2026 – AOL
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – The 2026 Youth Trapping Recruitment Program is closing Wednesday due to the 20,000 tail maximum being reached.
According to a news release from the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks Department, while the youth program is closed, the Coyote Bounty Program is still open for participation for all South Dakota residents until July 1 or until the maximum payout of $300,000 is reached.

“The first year of the Youth Trapping Recruitment Program has been a tremendous success,” SDGFP Secretary Kevin Robling said. “It has been fantastic to see youth across the state participate in wildlife management.”
