On Tuesday, two people were arrested for illegal hunting in Jackson County which led to the discovery of a meth lab.
46-year-old Gary Dale Ball and 44-year-old Keith Beasley of Stevenson were arrested for illegal hunting.
Upon their arrest, agents located a small amount of methamphetamine on Keith Beasley. Agents found marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia on Gary Dale Ball.
Ball was taken to the Jackson County Jail and charged with possession of controlled substances, possession of marijuana, and hunting violations.
Later on Tuesday, members of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Alabama Game and Fish, and the Stevenson Police Department executed a search warrant for Ball’s home. Ball’s residence is located on County Road
590 in Stevenson.
Agents found four one-pot meth labs along with chemicals used in the manufacture of meth.
Ball is held in the Jackson County Jail on an $11,000 bond. Officials believe Ball will receive additional charges.
