TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) — Richard Allen Harris was cited in February for hunting hogs during a closed season at the Pond Creek National Wildlife Refuge and allegedly skipped an April 10 court date.

Several days later, officers went to Harris’ home in Texarkana to discuss the missed court appearance and give him an opportunity to pay his fine.
Harris allegedly told one officer, “You are going to die.”

Officers returned to his home on May 7, when Harris again allegedly threatened to kill an officer. Harris was arrested May 8.
