At midnight on Saturday morning, Alaska State Troopers were alerted that 20-year-old Taylor LeCrone and 21-year-old Zachary Alderman had hiked into the Starrigavan Bowl area to go deer hunting and became lost.

The rescue team located LeCrone at the Harbor Mountain Shelter. LeCrone reported that his hunting partner had slid down an embankment and suffered minor injuries.

An investigation of Alderman’s injuries found bumps and bruises. Both hunters declined medical attention and were released.
