A 19-year-old Soldotna man died from a gunshot wound he sustained while hunting alone.
Jonathan Granger was hunting off Isaak Road near mile 98 of the Sterling Highway Sunday afternoon when something went wrong. He called family to say that he was hurt.
When paramedics arrived Granger was talking, but he died at the scene Peters said.
Granger had a torso wound, she said.
