Gregory M. Johnson was cited Tuesday for trapping violations occurring last summer.
Troopers took a report July 23 that a Sitka black tail deer was caught in a snare near South Point Higgins Road.
Troopers issued Johnson citations for trapping wolves during a closed season, illegally killing a deer with a snare and failing to salvage the venison.
