FAIRBANKS— On Tuesday, prosecutors charged Kirk C. Larson with two counts of license and tag violations for allegedly claiming 23 years of Alaska residency when he bought his license and tags at the Fairbanks Walmart in September 2014.
Prosecutors allege Larson was a Michigan resident on Sept. 9, 2014, and had no right to buy an Alaska resident licenses or tag. He’s charged with two counts of “license, tag, permit and registration violations.” Each is a class A misdemeanor, the same level of criminal offense as driving under the influence.
Larson’s ex-wife emailed the trooper a copy of Larson’s tax records and Michigan driver’s license.
