ANCHORAGE — Alaska State Troopers say that a Wasilla man was fined $620 in a plea agreement over false claims made on his hunting guide application.
Clifford F. Smith, 37, of Wasilla, allegedly claimed in his application that he’d hunted legally for 30 days in 2009 when in fact he didn’t have a license that year until after he’d signed the application, meaning he couldn’t have hunted prior to that statement.
He also allegedly claimed to have legally hunted in 2005 when he didn’t have a license that year either.
