ANCHORAGE – 54-year-old John J. Paoletti Sr. pleaded guilty Thursday to four counts related to illegally guiding clients for sport fishing and big game, waste of fish and taking a moose in closed season. He was fined $30,000 with $18,000 suspended for illegal guiding and $1,000 restitution for taking a moose out of season.
He was also ordered to forfeit his boat and equipment and is not allowed to hunt or fish for two years. Paoletti will be on probation till 2020, during which he will not be allowed to be in the field with anyone who is hunting or fishing.
