ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A Kentucky hunter is recovering from injuries suffered when he was mauled by a bear on Alaska’s Admiralty Island.
Douglas Adkins, 57, was injured as he hiked Thursday night with a big game hunting guide on the southeast Alaska island. They startled a bear and it attacked. The attack stopped after a short period.
